I am the Director of Intelligent Systems Research Group (ITSEG.ORG) at Macquarie University. I’m interested in designing, testing and verifying key components (machine learning models inclusive) in intelligent systems including autonomous ground vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles.

My research focuses on developing highly efficient distributed and embedded machine learning models underlying diverse autonomous systems.  I apply my background in software testing, system modelling, formal verification (specifically runtime verification) and distributed systems to build innovative yet practical algorithms to test and verify key components inside autonomous ground vehicles contributing multiple CORE A* impactful and ground-breaking research papers accepted in top-tier journals and conferences including IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing,  PerCom and FSE (one of the top 2 conferences in Software Engineering).  Highlights of these research include the first-ever module-level testing framework for a multi-sensor multi-module industry-scale autonomous driving system (FSE’22), a first robustness analysis of adversarial attacks against autonomous driving models (PerCom’20), and a practical distributed learning framework for mobile IoT devices (PerCom’21).
